"Breaking It Down with Serena" (2000)
Serena writes, produces (with two other people), and hosts this MTV documentary series. The pilot episode, which aired on November 22, 2000, involves life in the military. Also, back on June 15, 2000, Serena wrote to our site with the following news about her future show: "Right now I'm out working on this amazing story I'd love to tell you about -- also it looks like I may be getting my own documentary series on MTV - that's what I'm working on. We're going all over the world working on a story on the military. So far we've been to California, New Jersey, North Carolina, Nevada, Georgia, Hawaii and we're leaving for Turkey, Kosovo and Macedonia soon. I've flown in an F 15 fighter plane... spent 3 nights on an aircraft carrier....went from 0-130 in 2 seconds getting catapulted off the aircraft carrier...plus the people are all so interesting."

Here's how it works: you pitch us your personal story; we send you a camera; then we air it. The power of the media is at your fingertips."

Serena was a news reporter/correspondent for this television series.
